News on the Saturday morning (July 18, 2015) Eastern 40 Meter WBCCI RV Service Net was that Gene Beaver, W4PVI, passed away. He was feeling bad on Thursday then suffered a heart attack.
Gene was the net control operator for the second hour of the Eastern 40 Meter WBCCI RV Service Net on Saturdays.

Gene Whitmore Beaver, 86, of Summerdale, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Beaver was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie Lynn Beaver, his parents, Kermit and Elizabeth Thompson Beaver, and his wife’s parents, Tyree and Blanche Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy “Dottie”, daughter Jeannie Martin and son-in-law Lloyd of Granbury, Texas, daughter Terri Hanson and son-in-law Bob of Sandy, Utah, grandchildren, Eric, Taylor, Danielle, Zach and Bridget, brother Kermit, sisters Betsy Yarbrough and Beverly Smith-Petersen and many other relatives and friends.
Gene loved his family. He served his country for 21 years in the United States Navy and continued his love of adventure for the remainder of his life, RVing to all 50 states, flying power parachutes and ultralights, off-roading, waterskiing, and competing in pickleball and pool.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Marlow UMC on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm. A burial service in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida will be July 27, 2015 at 1:15 pm.
